About the Teacher...
My name is Leigh Ann Helams. This is my ninth year of teaching including eight years of kindergarten and one year of pre-kindergarten. This is my third year at Crosley. I live in West Monroe with my husband, daughter, and pets. I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education from ULM in 2002. I enjoy plants, animals, movies, shopping, and children!
My goal is to make kindergarten a great experience so each child develops a love for school and learning. I love to see the progress the children make during their kindergarten year--from learning to make friends, to reading books in the spring. I try to demonstate and teach respect for others and responsibilty for actions. I strive to help each child complete kindergarten with the social and academic skills needed to be a successul leaner. With school and parent teamwork, your child can soar this year!
